When is testing warranted? The decision to pursue a formal evaluation for possible learning disabilities should not be made lightly..

Happy 15th Birthday to Bridging Out Group Members!

The Bridging Out Program is a social enrichment group for adults with complex learning disorders. To celebrate 15 years of operation, the group went fishing on the HyLine Boat in Hyannis Harbor.

The "pea-soup" fog made it impossible to see land, but we caught enough fish to make it fun and had a great time.

Take Charge! of Your Health by Betsy Werner, Health Coach

Building new routines is basic for change

Research by the National Weight Control Registry involved participants who had successfully maintained a weight loss of at least thirty pounds for at least a year.

How was this group successful when ninety-five percent of dieters gain their weight back?

Take Charge! Lessons by Mary-Jane Beach, Family Therapist & Take Charge! author

    Think optimistically.
What happens to you or children you know when you use the phrase "back to school"? Is it with excitement or fear or downright panic that they are thinking ahead to the start of the new school year?
