Our Team
John Beach, M.Ed:
Educational Psychologist, a consultant-administrator of special education,
and a founding director of Bridges. He provides psychoeducational
and neurodevelopmental testing and evaluations, school consultation,
and teacher training. He also speaks to groups about learning disabilities,
attention disorders, and special education. He is a former headmaster
of a private residential school for students with special needs. He
is a member of the Board of Directors of Cotting School and serves
on the Governor’s Council for the Massachusetts Rehabilitation
Commission.
Mary-Jane Beach, M.Ed:
Take Charge!™ program author and developer, Marriage and Family
Therapist, approved Supervisor with the American Association of Marriage
and Family Therapists, and a School Adjustment Counselor. She is a
founding director of Bridges and has worked with students in public
and private school settings, mental health, and health systems. She
is a clinical supervisor and advisory board member of the Family Therapy
Department at the University of Massachusetts-Boston’s Graduate
School of Education. She is active in various community initiatives,
including as co-chair of the Cape Cod Multicultural Festival.
Gonzalo Bacigalupe, Ed.D. Consultant: Associate Professor and Director of the Family Therapy Program at the Department of Counseling and School Psychology, Graduate College of Education, University of Massachusetts Boston; Associate Research Professor, Family Medicine & Community Health, University of Massachusetts Medical School; Invited Professor Psychotherapeutic Interventions Master-Degree, School of Psychology, Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia (UNED), Madrid, Spain.
Karen Donelan, Sc.D, Massachusetts General Hospital: Senior Research Scientist in Health Policy, Massachusetts General Hospital; Faculty at Harvard School of Public Health and Advisory Board of Medscape. Karen guided program development in preparation for research and evaluation of the new model.
Norma Holder Hall, M.Ed. Consultant for Community Development, has played a significant role in the development of Bridges’ program models. She has a Masters Degree in Education and Counseling. She served as the Town of Barnstable Director of Community & Human Services for twelve years and is active on many boards.
John F. Kelly, M.D. Emeritus Board Member of Bridges Associates.
David A. Kirkwood JB-S Enterprises, Inc: Financial and Business manager for a diverse philanthropic enterprise. David manages a staff of eight in pursuit of charitable opportunities. The company manages complex trusts and operates two charitable foundations in conjuction with the founder. David is manages technology upgrades and strategic planning..
Alex Messinger Alex developed and maintains the Bridges website. He works as a freelance web developer based in Burlington Vermont. He has extensive experience with e-commerce applications and e-newsletter development.
Carl Mores, Ed.D. (1991-present) Vision Discovery Consultant for not-for-profit organizations on long range planning and board development; Immediate Past President/CEO of Cotting School and former headmaster/board member of Riverview School. Carl has received national recognition for accomplishments in speaking, writing, administration and as an executive and has assisted Bridges with strategic policy and planning issues.
